Brett C. Tonks, President & COO

Brett is President & Chief Operating Officer of the Kane Company, overseeing day-to-day activities and working closely with Michael and John to set and execute the strategic direction of the company.

Brett brings 20+ years of real estate management experience in positions including roles as Global Head of Debt Capital Markets, Managing Director, and Chief Financial Officer.  Brett’s diverse background includes roles in acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, property management, capital markets, and investor relations across a variety of real estate asset classes and worldwide geography.  Immediately prior to joining Kane, Brett spent 15 years with DigitalBridge (formerly Colony Capital) and before that with TIAA-CREF, Harbor Group International, and Eastern Bank.

Brett carries a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William & Mary.
